House of Co Berlin: After Work Reset

Verena Hoffmann vor Grafitti

Your laptop closes. The workday is officially over. And yet — somehow — it isn’t, not quite. That’s exactly the feeling many of us carried into Heidestraße 19 on August 19th: shoulders still up around our ears, that one meeting still replaying in our heads, our thumb still hovering over the inbox for “just one more check.”

Ninety minutes later, things looked different.

What actually happened in this workshop

Together with Verena from Twist Brain & Body, we took 90 minutes for a hands-on after-work reset — no lecture, just real movement, real practice, and real understanding.

      • Shaking off the day, physically. Through simple, guided movements, we released the tension that had been quietly building in the body since the morning. No high-intensity training — just small, deliberate movements that made a noticeable difference.

      • Understanding the “why.” Verena gave us a short, clear explanation of why our nervous system needs a real closing ritual to actually shift out of work mode — and what keeps pulling us back into “work mode,” even long after the laptop is shut.

    • Building a practical tool. Most importantly, everyone went home with something small and repeatable — a habit to mark the transition from work into the evening going forward. Not a one-off feeling, but something that can be repeated daily.

How was it?

Just as promised: we left lighter than we arrived. The group was kept deliberately small at 15 participants, which made for a personal, relaxed atmosphere — no dress code, just come as you are.

Verena — a former HR manager turned ICF-certified somatic coach and movement teacher — knows corporate life firsthand. That showed. She didn’t just guide the exercises; she understood exactly what she was talking about when it came to meetings, to-do lists, and the feeling of never quite leaving the day behind.
